Salmon and dried fig kebabs. A very fresh and quick sweet and sour appetizer.

On these hot days, you don't want to spend hours in the kitchen preparing elaborate dishes. That's why today we bring you a delicious cold skewer of salmon (or ham) and dried figs that you can prepare in just a few minutes.

They are a fresh, quick and healthy sweet and sour snack. Dried figs are high in fibre and antioxidants, making them a nutritious addition to this dish. Salmon is a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. This easy appetizer can be prepared in minutes with just a few ingredients - give it a try!

Ingredients for two servings

  •
2 slices of smoked salmon
  • 2 slices of Iberian Ham
  • 4 El Pajarero dried figs
  • 4 dices of Mango
  • 4 cubes of avocado
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil to taste

Preparation

Remove the stalks from the El Pajarero dried figs and if they have flour, wash them.

Cut all the ingredients into cubes

Thread them onto wooden skewers, alternating them as you like.

Once you have the skewers ready, place them on a plate or platter where they will fit comfortably.

Drizzle them with olive oil, turning them so that it soaks in well.

Grind some pepper on top

Let them rest in the fridge for about 15 minutes.

Serve well chilled.

If you prefer, you can add different sauces and sesame seeds, chopped peanuts or chia seeds. But you will see that they are also very good on their own.

Tip: when you thread the cubes onto the wooden skewer, play with the colours ;)

Ready to try them? As you can see, they are really easy to make. In a few minutes your dinner will be ready.

It can be ideal for inviting friends over, you're sure to surprise them. With salads and very fresh drinks they look great.

We hope you enjoy them!
